Procedure and information required when applying to host the
Annual Scientific Meeting of the International Spinal Cord Society (ISCoS)

An application for hosting the Annual Scientific Meeting of ISCoS may be submitted to the Executive Committee of ISCoS up to 8 years before the meeting is going to take place. An existing member of the International Spinal Cord Society must be part of the Local Organizing Committee.

The application should at least include the following items:

  • Approximate dates for the congress
  • Presentation of the venue for the congress
  • Outline of the accommodation possibilities – including a wide range in prices to allow delegates from less privileged countries and young clinicians to have representatives at the meeting
  • Estimated cost of registration, including what the registration fee will include
  • Explanation of any possible restrictions for entering the country by any nationalities, and how this can be solved

The Executive Committee may, on the basis of the presented information, require further documentation before a decision is taken on the advice of the Scientific Committee. The decision then has to be approved by the Council and the Annual General Meeting of ISCoS.

When the application has been approved by the Annual General Meeting a contract will be made between the Local Organizing Committee and Executive Committee of ISCoS.
