A message from the President of ISCoS to all ISCoS Members

I wish you all a very happy 2018 in both your personal life and in your professional activities. This past year has been an active one for our Society. Most committees were reorganized under new leadership and we have added a new committee that deals specifically with communication. There have been many activities around the world in which ISCoS has been strongly involved including educational courses, external relations, attendance of congresses and symposia. We have two new editors and a new Publication Manager for our Journals. The Executive Committee has been working hard to prepare the new constitution which has been evaluated and commented on by a large group of members. Our finances are healthy. Many people have to be thanked for all this and I am grateful to see all this progress and to have the honor to guide the society in its evolution. In 2018, the new constitution and bylaws will be presented to you to you for online voting and there will be an election of a new Secretary of ISCoS. Plans are being made to continue existing educational and research activities and to support new regional and local initiatives. I expect the new committees for Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Nurses, and Psychologists to become fully operational. The ISCoS governing body will be more accessible and more members will be included and represented in the different committees and groups of action. I encourage members to be actively involved. Our goals have not changed and we endeavor to do all in our power to improve the life of individuals with SCI, to assist their relations, and offer help to Health Authorities. Best wishes to all and I look forward to a new proactive year.
