The Spinal Research Institute (SRI) Travel Collaboration Grant in 2017.

The SRI is pleased to announce that the recipient of the 2017 SCI International Travel Collaborations Grant is Kazi Imdadul Hoque.

Mr Hoque is a Masters student in Rehabilitation Science at the Bangladesh Health Professions Institute, Bangladesh. Since 2014, he has worked as a clinical physiotherapist at the Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed in Dhaka, Bangladesh, during which time he has seen first-hand the devastating and life-threatening injuries incurred from scarf strangulation when riding a common mode of transport. He has also published on the role of sport in the management of depression in tetraplegia and the issues of prolonged hospital stay.

This grant will enable Mr Hoque to travel to International Spinal Cord Society in Dublin in October 2017 and participate in the conference, particularly the SCI Clinical Research Engagement Workshop.
